MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIRMAN

The success of Njoro Canning Factory is a result of the hard work, good play and willingness to effective investment , great support from all the staff and other stakeholders as well as corporation of the board members. The company is committed to ensuring the well fare of all our employees. We subscribe to the national workers unions as required by legal occupational work system. Furthermore, workers are represented by an internal committee’s welfare association. Workers exemplary erformance has been a result of effective training, protective measures, and general good working conditions.
It is our endeavour to work towards technology advancement set up and quality progress. As we celebrate our 35th Anniversary and ISO 2200 certification, we also join the country’s celebration of 50 years of independence.

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
We have worked with Egerton University in providing students with relevant training in food processing.

We have taken part in rehabilitation of Njoro River project to provide mitigation measures in ensuring reduced water contamination.


Njoro Factory staff trains over 10,000 farmers within the region in good farming systems especially in agriculture as well as provision of market for their farm produce.

The factory is also providing local residents with tree seedlings from its nursery for a subsidized price.

We have partnered with research institutions such as Kenya Agricultural Research Institute (KARI), Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), Egerton University and other extension services such as government agencies that provide value addition chains especially Agro-Based industries in producing vegetable and fruit value addition.

We are a food processing company specializing in canned, frozen and dehydrated vegetables, spices, jams, desserts, relishes and pickles. we have three main brands, Golden Valley (GV), Kenya Orchards (KOL) and Mua Hills under which we market 43 different products.
